Become an innovative lactation consultant who gets great client outcomes
You took the classes. You have the certificate. You want the best for your moms and babies. You give them your all. But you know there’s more to learn and you wonder if there’s an alternative approach you’re missing out on.

You learned all about latch, but have you learned about suck?
Traditional lactation education focuses on the latch, the reflex-driven attachment infants use to begin feeding. Suck, however, is how babies breastfeed—the dynamic movement they use to continue sucking, swallowing, and breathing. My approach, learned from my mentor Ellen Chetwynd, shifts the focus to suck dynamics.
You'll join me on lactation visits and observe me assess and teach babies to stabilize their unique suck pattern using hands-on techniques. You’ll learn to apply this suck-based approach and watch it transform breastfeeding outcomes for your clients.
When you mentor with me, you’ll:
Gain Confidence
Help the most challenging cases that other LCs have given up on, including babies who are older, post tongue-tie release, and bottle feeders.
Develop Skills
Understand the why behind the feeding patterns of infants who don’t feed as expected.
Innovate
See nursing infants as holistic beings who feed not just with their mouth, but with their whole body.
Expand
Become an in-demand and inclusive LC by learning how sucking skills apply to bottle feeding struggles.
